Join us for “An Affair of the Heart”, an art exhibit at the Citizens Medical Center Imaging Center from February 13-17, 2012 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Come see the work of local artists who have painted, sculpted, and created heart art.

Join us on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for a very informative presentation by Chelif Junor, M. D., cardiologist, on “Heart Disease in Women”. Dr. Junor will educate you on heart disease in women, preventive measures, and treatments that are available. This session will be held in the Central Classroom at Citizens Medical Center, and there is no fee.

In recognition of November as Diabetes Awareness Month, HealthWISE will host two diabetes events.
A Diabetes Drive-Thru will occur on Wednesday, November 9 from 9:00 a.m. until noon and will be set-up in the Citizens Medical Center parking lot facing Rio Grande. Drivers can get their blood sugar tested and counseling, if needed, without leaving their car.

On Saturday, October 15, 2011, participate in the first ever competitive 5K (chipped) run set to begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Citizens Healthplex. The run entry fee will be $25 if registered before October 8 and $30 after this date. The first 250 registrants receive a race t-shirt, and the top finishers receive prizes.
